Sure you can. Use the FindChildNodeByXXX node methods. You can search by text (by the Text node property) using the FindChildNodeByText, by the Id node property (for nodes, inherited from the IIndexableNode interface) using the FindChildNodeById method and by the Tag node property using the FindChildNodeByTag method.
Also, you can search either within the specified node or within that node and all children nodes. Please, see these methods overload with the second parameter.
