First of all we want to say thank you to all our customers and evaluating users for their very useful feedback about what you want and need to be available in the next version of the Flexible TreeView. It really helps us to know what direction to take to create the most flexible treeview control in the .NET world!
We really appreciate that!
Develop without compromises with v1.2!
After a long development and testing cycle we are proud to announce the next version of the Flexible TreeView with many state-of-the-art features inside. In the v1.2 many treeview`s subsystems was rebuilt from cratch to be more flexible and extendable, so many type`s contracts was changed but we trying to keep backward compatibility as much as possible. If you have any problems with upgrading to the new version, please inform us.
So that is what comes with this new version:
HTML tags support. Now you can insert a HTML text into the textbox node control, column header or Expandable node control`s Title or Description text. Supported tags:
<b> - Bold text;
<i> - Italic text;
<u> - Underlined text;
<font color="Color"> - changes the text`s foreground color. The color value may be either a hex RGB value (#112233) or color`s name (Blue, Red etc.);
<a href = "www.FlexibleTreeView.com"> - inserts the hyperlink. You can handle the link click by handling the treeview`s LinkClicked event.
Text auto-wrapping. It has never been easier to implement! With Flexible TreeView v1.2 you can do it by changing only one property! No more partially invisible long text. Now your user does not need to resize the treeview to see all data! You can wrap plain text or HTML text as well.
Treeview performance improvements. This version comes with outstanding performance improvements. Now loading 10 000+ nodes takes less than 0.5 second!
TreeComboBox separate control - pay for one component and get two! TreeComboBox control has been added. It is a native combo box derived control to show a treeview as a combo box`s drop down content. Just drop it on the form and use!
Drag & drop improvements. Now you don`t need to know anything about implementing the drag & drop operation! Just enable the DragDropOptions.AllowDrag to allow to start dragging, DragDropOptions.AllowDrop to be able to drop nodes and DragDropOptions.AutoMoveNodes to auto-move or copy (using Control key) nodes within or between treeviews. Flexible TreeView will do all the work for you!
Node selection improvements. Now you can track how a selection has been changed - by mouse, by keyboard or programmatically.
